Amy’s teaching encourages individuality and personal joy in movement. She wants every student to feel appreciated and experience success, nurturing the whole person as well as the dancer.
Her own journey began in Hertfordshire, before training at the Royal Ballet Upper School and graduating in 2004. She went on to perform soloist and principal roles with the National Ballet of Ireland.
A longstanding member of Yorke Dance Project, Amy is both a dancer and Assistant Rehearsal Director. Her performing highlights include the title role in Kenneth MacMillan’s Isadora at the Royal Opera House and Martha Graham’s Deep Song.
Alongside more than two decades on stage, she brings 17 years of teaching experience in dance, fitness and Pilates, across professional training and community settings. Her teaching experience includes the Royal Ballet Lower School, London Studio Centre and the Royal Academy of Dance.
An RAD Registered Teacher with a Level 6 qualification, Amy brings a clear understanding of anatomy and movement mechanics to her practice. Based in Hertfordshire, she teaches ballet, contemporary and creative movement to children, adults and older adults through classes, private lessons and workshops.
